Payment methods
Choose what buyers can pay with on your checkout. Each method has its own switch, and changes apply right away.
Open Dashboard → Payment methods to choose what your checkout offers. A change applies right away, also on checkouts that are already open. Only owners and admins can change payment methods.
Cards and wallets
| Method | What buyers use |
|---|---|
| Cards | Visa, Mastercard and American Express, credit and debit. |
| Apple Pay | One tap on iPhone, iPad and Safari on a Mac. |
| Google Pay | One tap in Chrome and on Android. |
Apple Pay and Google Pay pay by card, so they need Cards switched on. Buyers see the wallet that fits their device.
Card payments carry a processing fee at your plan's rate. You choose how much of it buyers pay on top of the order; the checkout shows their part before they pay. See Fees.
Crypto
| Method | What buyers use |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin | BTC on the Bitcoin network. |
| Litecoin | LTC on the Litecoin network. |
The price is locked when the buyer picks the coin, and Bitcoin and Litecoin payments go to a new address for every checkout. Each method shows how many network confirmations make a payment final. The buyer can close the page once they've sent the coins: we keep watching and complete the order on our own.
Switching a coin off hides it on open checkouts too, but a payment the buyer has already sent still completes.
Skins
Buyers can pay with Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 or Rust items. Skins start switched off: turn on Skins to offer them. They show on checkouts in USD.
On the checkout the buyer picks a game, pastes their Steam Trade URL and chooses items from their inventory. Each item shows what it counts toward the order, and the page keeps a running total. Once the items cover the order, the buyer confirms and accepts a trade offer in Steam from one of our trading bots. Before confirming, the buyer is told plainly that value above the order total isn't returned.
- You receive the order total, with no fee. Lollipay prices the items and keeps the difference.
- Payments complete about a week after the trade. Steam holds traded items for 7 days (Trade Protection) and a
buyer can reverse the trade in that time, so the checkout stays open and completes when the hold ends. The payment
shows as pending in Payments until then. Deliver the order once the checkout is
complete. - A trade the buyer declines, lets expire or reverses never becomes a payment.
Is a method live?
Each method shows where it stands:
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Live | It takes real payments. |
| Test mode only | It works on test checkouts while we set up live payments. |
| Being set up | We're still setting it up. Buyers don't see it yet. |
