Balance and payouts

How a payment reaches your balance, what the security deposit is for, and when you get paid out.

Dashboard → Balances shows three numbers and the history behind them. Dashboard → Payout counts down to the next payout and has three tabs: Overview (the schedule and recent payouts), History (every payout) and Payout method (where payouts go).

From a payment to your bank

  1. A payment comes in. Lollipay keeps its fee and credits you the rest. Your balance is kept in US dollars, so a payment in another currency is converted at that day's rate.
  2. The security deposit fills first. Until your deposit holds $150, everything you're credited goes there.
  3. Then it's available. Once the deposit is full, every payment adds to your available balance right away. There's no waiting period.
  4. You're paid out every week. Your whole available balance goes to your payout account once it's at least $50. If it's less, it carries over to the next week.

The deposit is never paid out. It stays with your account to cover refunds and chargebacks, so they don't hold up your payouts.

Refunds and chargebacks

  • Refunds come out of your deposit first, then your available balance. Lollipay's fee on the payment isn't returned.
  • Chargebacks (disputes) take the disputed amount plus a $20 dispute fee, from the deposit first, then your available balance.
  • If you win a dispute, the disputed amount comes back to you. The $20 fee doesn't.

New payments refill the deposit before anything becomes available again. If a refund or chargeback is bigger than your deposit and available balance together, your available balance goes below zero, and your next payments cover it.

A refund or chargeback uses the same exchange rate as the payment it belongs to, so currency moves never cost or earn you anything in between.

Where payouts go

On Dashboard → Payout → Payout method, owners and admins choose how they're paid out:

  • Bank account: your default verified bank account, a USD one first (see Bank payouts).
  • Crypto wallet: your default wallet, USDT first, then USDC, BTC and LTC (see Crypto payouts).

Payouts only go to the method you chose. Until it has a verified account or a wallet, your money stays in your available balance.

Each payout shows as Scheduled, then In transit and Paid. A payout that fails or is canceled goes straight back to your available balance and is sent with the next one.

Test mode

Switch to Test data on either page to see your test-mode balance. Test payments follow the same rules, and test payouts are marked paid as soon as they're created. No real money moves.
